Tzipori Forest

The Tzipori Forest covers about 30,000 dunams in the hills north of Nahal Tzipori. KKL-JNF constructed a 16-km-long scenic road through the forest suitable for all private vehicles. The western end of the road is in Kiryat Ata and the eastern end is in the village of Alon HaGalil. There are scattered historical sites in and around the forest, including Usha, the tomb of Judah ben Baba and the "Sabbath Rock."

KKL-JNF has created a chain of recreation areas that stretches for three km along the scenic road, in the western part of the forest.

Directions: A. From Kiryat Ata – drive along Derech Menachem Begin to the end of the road. At the last traffic circle, turn east onto the scenic road; B. From the Shfaram-Tzomet HaMovil road (Route 79), turn towards Adi and Harduf. After about 3 km, you enter the eastern section of the scenic road and Alon HaGalil; C. Start as in option B and drive to Harduf and Adi on the old road for about 6 km. Turn onto the scenic road according to the signs; D. From the access road to Alon HaGalil.
