Trees help prevent desertification, protect soil and water, and preserve open spaces. What types of trees are planted and where do they come from?

We plant a variety of native and climate-appropriate species, such as pine, oak, eucalyptus, and broadleaf trees, to support forest health and sustainability. Every sapling is grown in one of KKL-JNF’s three nurseries: Golani (Galilee), Gilat (Negev), and Eshtaol (Jerusalem Hills), cultivated to match the soil and climate of each region.
