Yaakov Harari Recreation Area on the central Nahal HaBesor Scenic Road

A beautiful recreation area shaded by tamarisk and eucalyptus trees. The site is dedicated to the memory of Yaakov Harari, who developed the industry of cultivating ground nuts in the Besor region. The recreation area has picnic tables and a water tap. The recreation area is located in the Ma’arach HaMiluim Forest. The veteran tamarisks have been joined by acacia, carob, jujube and other species of trees. The pool of Nahal Gemila, which contains water throughout the year, is next to the recreation area.

Directions: About a km east of the Ma'on Junction (Route 241), drive north on a road marked in red that services the Yarkon-Negev water pipeline and Dan Regional Wastewater Treatment Plant pipeline. Drive about four km to an intersection where you turn right and immediately reach the recreation area.
