Tali Lookout Point

Hebrew name: Mitzpor Tali

Location:
Golda Park, near Kibbutz Mashabei Sadeh

Description:
The Tali Lookout Point overlooks the Golda Park from the mountain ridge north of the park. The lookout affords a view of the expanses of Mount HaNegev towards Mahmal Ridge, in which nature has carved the Ramon Crater. Below, at the foot of the lookout, Golda Park can be seen as if you were holding it in your hand – an oasis with a lake, grass lawns and palm trees. This place, a creation of KKL-JNF, is a rehabilitation project of an abandoned quarry that was formerly dug in the Revivim Lake. The water in the lake is comes from the thermo-mineral drilling of the Neve Midbar hot springs nearby, as well as flash floods that are a regular occurrence in the Revivim Lake.
The park bears the name of Golda Meir, the fourth Israeli prime minister, who used to live in Kibbutz Revivim at times. The building houses a well from the British period (The NAAFI Well), a permanent exhibition describing the history of the site and the role it played in World War I during the Great Outflanking by the Australian and New Zealand Army Corps when they conquered Beer Sheva.

Directions: From road 222, about 2.8 km from Mashabim Junction.
