Description: A pleasant spot on the side of a scenic route that passes through the heart of the Eshtaol Forest. The wooden steps descend to an observation deck with benches and a table shaded by a pine tree. This scenic lookout overlooks the Nahal Soreq Valley, Mount Karmila and the Tzora Ridge. Near this spot is a panoramic lookout and a recreation area and playground for children. The recreation area is accessible to people with disabilities.
The Eshtaol Forest spans an area of 12,000 dunams (approx 3000 acres) to the south of the Tel Aviv-Jerusalem Highway (Route 1). KKL-JNF has developed the Eshtaol Forest, paving signed scenic routes for private cars as well as footpaths. Many recreation areas are scattered along the forest roads for picnics and and informative signs are posted at the main sites. The Israel National Trail, the Jerusalem to Tel Aviv (Yam leYam) Trail, and the Tel Aviv-Jerusalem Bicycle Path run through the forest.

Directions: From the forest road that leads out from the Eshtaol Nursery, Route 44, about 800 meters from the Shimshon Junction.
