The Privacy Policy was set by Keren Kayemeth LeIsrael–Jewish National Fund (KKL-JNF) to protect the Users' privacy rights as they were defined in the Website Regulations. We acknowledge that the Users attribute great significance to the methods by which the Personal Information about them is used and shared, and we attribute great significance to protecting their privacy and security.

Important Information
It is hereby noted that the User is not legally required to provide information to KKL-JNF, and the provision of the information which is mentioned above depends on the User's willingness and consent to provide it (subject to the provisions of the law). However, the provision of certain information may be necessary for the purpose of receiving your donation to KKL-JNF and for the purpose of receiving a certain response, and if the User chooses not to provide such information, KKL-JNF will not be able to provide the requested response to the User. KKL-JNF will be entitled (but not required) to preserve the aforesaid information in its databases, as well as every additional piece of information that is accumulated about the User, in accordance with what is said in the Privacy Policy and in accordance with the provisions of the law that apply to KKL-JNF.
It should be noted that specific rules or a designated privacy policy may additionally apply in certain services or activities. These rules or policies will be published next to those services or activities.
If the User provides details to KKL-JNF, he undertakes, states and confirms that the details he provides are submitted out of his freewill and with his consent, and they are correct and updated. If the User provides information about another individual, he then states that he has all the required and valid agreements to provide such information. If You do not agree to the terms of the Privacy Policy and to the terms of the Regulations, then please cease from using the Website and the services that are provided through it, including KKL-JNF's Service (as defined below).
Personal Information that is gathered within the use of the Website's services includes information that You provided Us or that was collected within the Website's services, including the fundraising services (hereinafter: "the Service").
Definitions
The terms "KKL-JNF", "Us", "We" and "Our" all refer to Keren Kayemeth LeIsrael-Jewish National Fund.
The terms "Privacy Policy" and "Policy" refer to this document.
"KKL-JNF's Fundraising Services" include KKL-JNF's websites such as https://donate.kkl-jnf.org, which are intended for KKL-JNF's email notices in fundraising matters, and banners for fundraising purposes on other websites of KKL-JNF.
"KKL-JNF's Service" is KKL-JNF's websites such as https://www.kkl-jnf.org, which are intended for email notices in matters of trips and recreation, science and climate, education and youth, foresting and the environment, the community and KKL-JNF, land development etc. The term "KKL-JNF's Service" includes "KKL-JNF's Fundraising Services".
Description of the issues that are discussed in the Privacy Policy
The Privacy Policy deals with issues that are related to the collection, transfer, processing, storage, disclosure and use of types of Personal Information and information that doesn't personally identify the User (as defined below) which are gathered from You within your use of KKL-JNF's Service, whether this information is directly provided by the User or it is provided automatically (as described below).
The Privacy Policy additionally specifies the User's rights regarding the Personal Information that is gathered about him, including the right of review of this Information, and the right to request that the Personal Information be corrected or deleted, all in accordance with the provisions of Sections 13 and 14 of the Protection of Privacy Law, as specified below.
It should be noted that the Privacy Policy doesn’t cover the collection, transfer, processing, storage, disclosure and use of information that was received from You when you granted a donation or held interactions with KKL-JNF's Friends (as will be specified below in the Privacy Policy). Please review the privacy policies of such organizations for additional information about their privacy protection procedures.
Description of the Gathered Information
As a result of the Users' interactions with Our webpages, the provision of donations, signing-up for volunteering activity, participation in donor surveys, the provision of feedbacks regarding the fundraising, or any other use which concerns KKL-JNF's Service, KKL-JNF may gather various types of information about its Users (in accordance with the type of use), which are specified below:

Information that does not personally identify the User. This type of information is anonymous information in which the User cannot be identified and/or the information cannot be related to him with reasonable effort. This information may include the User's cumulative usage details and aggregative and/or technical information that is transmitted by the User's device, such as the type of device, browser type, operating system, etc. This information serves for the Website's operation and management and for performing analyses and statistics to improve the Services.

Information that may identify the User. This type of information allows you to identify the User or it may identify him with reasonable effort (hereinafter: “Personal Information") and it includes:
A. Information gathered while making a donation
If the User chooses to give a donation to KKL-JNF, he will be requested to provide Personal Information such as his full name, email address, phone number, home address, the sum of the donation, and details about the means of payment.
KKL-JNF will use this Information for general managerial purposes and for the implementation of Our fundraising procedures, which includes the operation of these procedures, updating You about upcoming fundraising events and other activities of KKL-JNF, thanking You for your donation, and setting language preferences.
We perform the actions which are mentioned above within the framework of the contractual commitment between us and for the purpose of promoting our legitimate interest in managing KKL-JNF's Fundraising Services. We will request your consent to such activity if the law requires that.
We will also use the Information that was gathered from You to comply with Our duties which include, inter alia, the documentation and report operations that are specified below:

B. Information gathered while browsing the Website
The information that is automatically transmitted from the User's device while surfing the Website may include online identifiers such as an internet protocol addresses ("IP"). KKL-JNF may collect such information either independently or through service providers on its behalf (while using technological tools such as "cookies", as specified below).
KKL-JNF will use this information to operate and manage the Website and for its security. It will use this information also to analyze the use of the Website, to improve its contents and for marketing needs (including targeted advertisement). The gathering of information which is mentioned above may also include the data regarding the use of the Website, such as the date and time of use, the duration of the use, actions that were done on the Website and the webpages that were viewed, including pages that linked the User to the Website (for example, the marketing campaign form which you arrived to the Website).
C. Subscribing to the newsletter
If the User chooses to subscribe to KKL-JNF's newsletter, then he will be requested to enter his full name, email address and choose the topics of the newsletter he wishes to receive. KKL-JNF will use this information to send to the User marketing information regarding KKL-JNF and its activities, including hiking trails, bicycle trails, educational activities, information for teachers and instructors, information for volunteers, general information etc. A User who is interested in removing himself from KKL-JNF's mailing list can do so at any time by contacting KKL-JNF and/or by the removal options that will appear in the mailing that will be sent to the User.
D. Information gathered when contacting Us
If the User chooses to contact KKL-JNF by any of the means of communication it offers on the Website (including forms for online contact, email, etc.), the User will be required to provide contact details such as his full name, email address, phone number, cellphone number, ID number, passport number, and the city or settlement where he resides. The content of such a notice or inquiry may include additional information according to the User's discretion and desire. KKL-JNF will use this information to respond to the User's inquiry and to provide the information and/or service he requested. KKL-JNF may also use this information to improve its services.
E. Information gathered as part of the volunteer registration process
If the User chooses to volunteer at KKL-JNF he will have to fill out the "Volunteer Application Form" on the website that requires the User to provide full information such as his full name, email address, phone number, his preferred volunteering area, and type of volunteering activity (permanent or occasional). KKL-JNF will use this Personal Information for various purposes, which include, inter alia, managerial purposes and coordinating the volunteering activity, contacting the volunteers, providing relevant updates, and the improvement of the volunteering procedures. It should be noted that KKL-JNF will collect additional information about the volunteers within the volunteer registration process that the Users will be notified about by KKL-JNF separately from the Privacy Policy.
In addition to the usage purposes that are mentioned above, KKL-JNF is entitled to keep the Personal Information it gathered or that was gathered by anyone on its behalf and use it to fulfill all its duties according to the law, and it will also be entitled to us it in the case of any dispute and/or claim of the User and for conducting legal proceedings.
How the Information is Collected
KKL-JNF collects the information that is specified above: (1) when the User willingly provides information during fundraising, subscription to the newsletter, registration to volunteering activity (in the abovementioned registration form) or when contacting KKL-JNF and (2) automatically through the use of technological monitoring means, such as "cookies", which are specified below.
KKL-JNF may collect this Personal Information also through a system that is designated for KKL-JNF's chat service and based on AI technology ("AI chat").AI chat is meant to provide general information about KKL-JNF's services on the Website and about the User's use of them. KKL-JNF will collect and use the information that will be entered by the User during the AI chat, including the content of these chats and the time they were made, for the purposes that are said in the Privacy Policy and in order to train the model on which the AI chat is based. The User knows that the AI chat, including the answers it provides, are produced by a technological system and not by a human agent, and the system in fact retrieves the information that was entered by the User and enters it into a language model of a third party that produces the answer. The User also knows that the use of the AI chat involves special restrictions and risks for systems that are based on AI technology.
The User further knows that the conversations on the AI chat may be kept and processed in accordance with the Privacy Policy to improve the Service, and that the User is exclusively liable for his use of the AI chat, while KKL-JNF will not bear liability for any direct or indirect damage that will be caused to the User because of the use of the AI chat or because he relied on the information that is provided by it.

During your interaction with KKL-JNF's services, we may use monitoring technologies which automatically collect information and locally store it, such as pixel tracking, Java Script, cookies and local storage, to collect certain types of information about your device.

We believe that information collection assists the experience of giving a donation and receiving services from KKL-JNF. However, you can remove or neutralize all or part of the cookies by adjusting your browser. You may also restrict the use of cookies and the local storage of information on your device by using the means that are provided in this non-exhaustive list:

Cancelling Tracking
KKL-JNF is obligated to preserve the information it collects from all the Users. We do not share this information with any third parties, except in circumstances that are set in the chapter in Our Privacy Policy that is titled "Sharing information with third parties". The nature of Our conduct does not undergo any change when the User selects "Do Not Track" on the internet browser, and as a default, we provide the same level of protection for the information that is collected from all the Users of the Website regardless of whether "Do Not Track" was selected or not.
The User's Rights
KKL-JNF respects the Users' privacy, and it resorts to means, which it considers reasonable, to allow the Users to control the Personal Information about them.
All the email notices that will be sent regarding KKL-JNF's Service (except for receipts or administrative notices) will include a simple option to unsubscribe to the mailing list. If you request to change your preferences regarding the method in which You contact us, You (or an authorized representative on your behalf) can do so by notifying us about that at any time at zehavitr@kkl.org.il
or by clicking the link for canceling the registration, which will appear in the email notice you will receive from us.
Moreover, if the information that is kept at KKL-JNF serves it for making an inquiry to a certain User based on his association with a specific population group (which is known as "direct mailing") that is determined in accordance with the provisions of the Protection of Privacy Law on the basis of one characterization or more, the User is entitled to demand in writing that the relevant information be deleted.
It should be noted that KKL-JNF will not send the User any marketing notices after he requests to be removed from the mailing list; however, KKL-JNF may continue and send to the User inquiries that are required for a requested service.
It should be made clear that KKL-JNF will continue to legally keep every unit of information it needs for conducting its business—including documentation of the actions You performed—but this information will no longer serve for addressing you via direct mailing.
In addition, according to the Protection of Privacy Law, the User is entitled to review the Personal Information about him, which is kept in KKL-JNF's databases, and he is also entitled to request that the Personal Information be corrected or deleted if he finds that it is incorrect, incomplete, unclear or not updated.
If the User is entitled to those rights that are mentioned above, he needs to contact KKL-JNF at pneyot-tzibur@kkl.org.il to exercise them. When the User contacts KKL-JNF with such a request it may ask him for certain details to protect the privacy of the Users and to identify the User before it responds to him and/or fulfills his request.
You may also have the right, insofar that it is provided in the jurisdiction where you are located, to file a complaint to the supervising authority in the country or district where you live.
Sharing Information with Third Parties
We understand that certain Users, including donors, may request to remain anonymous and we try to respect such requests and preserve your anonymous identity. However, we will be bound in the circumstances that are described below to share information about the Users, inter alia about the donors. We will never sell, trade or lease your Personal Information that isn't publicly available.

With your consent
If You agree, We may share your information, including any Personal Information about You, for a certain goal. For example, We may allow the donors to decide if they want their names to be publicly linked to their donations. We may also publish or share anonymized information about the donors. For example, We will be able to share anonymized data sets to demonstrate donation trends.
Comments and suggestions - We may post anonymized comments and suggestions, including marketing materials, that are provided to Us by the Users, and in those rare occasions where non-anonymized information has been published, this will be done after We received your written consent in the matter.

Online Payment Processors
We have partnered with payment processors to promote the raising of funds through the internet. Therefore, when you donate to KKL-JNF through its Fundraising Services, whether by credit card, debit card, or by another means of payment on the internet, you transfer your information that pertains to the payment directly to the payment processor. We will do our best to enter into agreements and take other means that will help verify that these processors will preserve the confidentiality of your information. However, we ask that you consider the fact that KKL-JNF is not liable for the privacy procedures of such processors. Please review the privacy preservation policy of the applicable payment processor to learn more about its procedures.

Providers of Other Services
We use service providers or contractors who are third parties and who assist in organizing and promoting KKL-JNF's services, including its Fundraising Services, or who assist in managing Our webpages or improving your experience with them.
We may provide your Personal Information to such service providers and contractors, if this will be required so that they will be able to provide services for Us, or so that We will be able to use their tools and services. Notwithstanding the fact that we cannot guarantee the privacy or level of security that is provided by those suppliers who are third parties, we will make every effort to enter into agreements and apply other means that will assist in guaranteeing that such service providers or contractors will handle your information in a manner that is consistent with the level of security that is provided by the principles of this Privacy Policy and will be no less than that.

Legal Reasons
In rare instances, We may access your Personal Information, preserve it or disclose it if We reasonably believe that this is required for compliance with a warrant, summons, court order, law, regulation, or a judicial, administrative or other writ, which are valid and enforceable according to the law. If We believe that a certain motion for the disclosure of information about a donor is not in effect according to the law or it constitutes a misuse of the legal system, and the donor who is affected by that doesn't intend to object to the disclosure, then we will make every effort to fight such a motion. KKL-JNF is obligated to inform You by email, no less than ten (10) calendar days in advance, if that will actually be possible, before We will disclose your personal information in response to such a demand according to the law. However, we will be able to provide such a notice only in cases where we are not restricted by law from contacting you, or no significant threat to bodily harm will be created or increased following the provision of such a notice or motion, or if you didn’t provide Us with an email address or with another valid means of communication.
Nothing in this Privacy Policy is meant to limit any objection or legal defense You may have (whether according to the civil, criminal, or administrative law) against the motion of a third party to disclose your information. We recommend that you immediately seek legal advice if such a motion is filed against you.

Organizational Change
In the unlikely event that all or a significant part of KKL-JNF's ownership will undergo a change, or if We will undergo a reorganization procedure (such as a merger, consolidation, or purchase), your Personal Information may be transferred as well. We will provide You with prior notice through KKL-JNF's websites no less than thirty (30) calendar days before any Personal Information is transferred or becomes subordinated to the terms of another policy that preserves the Users' privacy.

How do we protect your personal information?
KKL-JNF uses a variety of physical, administrative and technical means and different kinds of policies and procedures to guarantee a high level of security and confidentiality preservation, which are meant to assist in the protection of your personal and financial information against any type of unauthorized access, use, modification, disclosure or destruction. However, you should know that there is no storage system or transfer of information which is 100% protected. Therefore, we cannot guarantee that Our security procedures will not be breached.
Transferring Information Outside of Israel
KKL-JNF may process or store Personal Information both in Israel and in other countries around the world. The User hereby confirms that when he uses the Website and/or Services the Personal Information about him may be stored and processed in KKL-JNF's servers outside the State of Israel. The transfer of information outside of Israel's borders will be done in accordance with the provisions of the applicable law.
How long will we retain your information?
KKL-JNF will keep your Personal Information only for the duration that is required according to the purposes for which it is processed and in accordance with the requirements of applicable law. We will review from time to time the Personal Information, which is in our possession, and if We will find that there is no legal or other legitimate need for continuing and holding it- we will securely delete it, and in certain cases we will anonymize it.
However, in the following cases KKL-JNF is entitled to preserve your Personal Information for a longer time: (a) when the law or the directive of a leading authority requires that; (b) when KKL-JNF is contractually required to do so; (c) when the information is required for legal protection or for handling a dispute.
Friends of KKL-JNF
KKL-JNF's Friends (such as representative offices) are independent organizations, which sometimes run their own fundraising programs. Notwithstanding the fact that some of these Friends may give KKL-JNF part of the funds they raised, KKL-JNF is not involved in the donation handling procedures of these organizations. KKL-JNF's Friends have different policies and different procedures, which are based on the requirements of the law of their domicile and on other considerations. The Privacy Policy doesn’t explicitly cover the donations that are given by such organizations and the use of their websites.
Making Changes to the Privacy Policy
From time to time, it may be necessary to make changes to the Privacy Policy in order to accurately reflect our information collection and disclosure practices.
KKL-JNF reserves the right to act as stated above, without any obligation to provide prior and/or retroactive notice on the matter. Any such amendments and/or updates will take effect immediately upon publication of the updated Privacy Policy on the website, and the date of the update will be reflected under the heading “Last Updated” next to the title of the Privacy Policy.
However, if We makes changes which, according to Our discretion, may materially affect Users’ rights and/or as otherwise required by law, KKL-JNF will take reasonable measures to provide notice on the website and/or through other means of communication, and such changes will take effect on the date specified in the notice. Accordingly, You are advised to review the Privacy Policy from time to time.
Your continued use of KKL-JNF’s Service following the effective date of any future version of the Privacy Policy will be deemed your consent to the terms of the updated Privacy Policy.
