Forestry at KKL-JNF is planting trees and caring for them, preventing forest fires and fighting pests; people are an integral part of all its programs.

The Blue Box is a symbol of KKL-JNF and its efforts to develop the land of Israel, plant forests, prepare soil for agriculture and settlement, carve out new roads and build water reservoirs - it is connectedness with the land.

The government has recently declared the establishment of two new communities in the Northern Negev, Cheran and Kasif. KKL-JNF will be involved in preparing their land.
