As part of the project, Keren Kayemeth LeIsrael–Jewish National Fund (KKL-JNF) upgraded the park’s central playground, among other improvements. The project, with a budget of approximately NIS 400,000, is part of KKL-JNF’s ongoing efforts to develop and maintain public and community spaces that allow residents to enjoy green spaces and recreational activities close to home.
The renovation was made possible thanks to KKL-JNF France and the estate of Mr. Victor Vabat, reflecting the importance of the partnership between KKL-JNF and local authorities.

KKL-JNF Chairman Eyal Ostrinsky said: “KKL-JNF’s work is not only about nurturing nature and green spaces, but also about enabling the public to enjoy them as part of everyday life. The renovated Gan Bereshit demonstrates how cooperation with a local authority can transform a public space into a vibrant, welcoming, and meaningful place for the community. We will continue working together with local authorities throughout the country to create spaces that connect nature, recreation, and quality of life.”
Oranit Local Council Head Or Piron-Zomer said: “Oranit is a home and a community surrounded by nature, and the connection between them is an important part of the quality of life in our community. I thank KKL-JNF for its partnership in renovating Gan Bereshit, a space that invites families, children, and residents to spend time outdoors, meet, and enjoy our green surroundings. I am confident that the renovated park will serve Oranit residents and visitors for many years to come, providing a place for enjoyment, gatherings, and shared experiences.”
