Against the backdrop of rising antisemitism around the world, the KKL-JNF Board of Directors, chaired by Eyal Ostrinsky, has decided this year to double the annual budget for combating antisemitism and supporting Zionist activities on college campuses, increasing it from NIS 3 million to NIS 6 million.
At the same time, KKL-JNF is working to strengthen its ties with Jewish communities in the Diaspora and is exploring the establishment of a global center to strengthen community resilience, security, and emergency preparedness among Jewish communities around the world.
As part of these efforts, KKL-JNF is promoting funding for training security personnel and local volunteers, equipping communities with security measures, establishing emergency communications infrastructure, and connecting proven Israeli models for building resilience with communities worldwide. The organization is also working to develop partnerships with additional organizations to create a comprehensive and meaningful security network.
Ostrinsky added:
“The events this weekend in Manhattan and Jerusalem once again demonstrate that combating antisemitism and violence requires determined and sustained action from all relevant parties. We must take firm action against every manifestation of antisemitism, incitement, violence, and vandalism. KKL-JNF will continue to stand alongside Jewish communities in Israel and around the world, working to strengthen their resilience and security. In the face of hatred and violence, it is our responsibility to ensure that no Jewish community, regardless of its denomination or religious affiliation, is left to face these threats alone.”
