Shoham Community Forest

The forest is a beautiful piece of nature in the center of the country. The remains of the Bacchus Church with its beautiful mosaic floor, dating back to the Byzantine period, were uncovered in the forest. (The site is disabled-accessible). Along the main road of the forest, KKL-JNF has built three recreation areas that also have wheelchair-accessible tables. From the Yossi Bressler recreation area, the southern-most recreation area in the forest, a trail climbs to the top of Saflulim Hill, from which one has a beautiful view of the expanse of the coastal plain and western Samaria.

Directions: Drive on Route 444 and turn east towards the industrial zone. The signs say "Hevel Modi’in Industrial Zone." Drive east on the asphalt road for about a km to Shoham Forest and turn right onto a dirt road.
