An ecological survey conducted recently by KKL-JNF in Holot Yavne Forest revealed a rare and interesting finding: during the survey, the researchers were surprised to discover the Fringe-Fingered Lizard in Holot Yavne, one of the rarest lizards in Israel, which lives in nature only within Israel and does not exist anywhere else in the world. This is a species that is rarely seen today in the sandy habitats, due to the continuous reduction of the sandy areas in central Israel.
