A New Walking Trail in the Jerusalem Mountains – The Hadassah Overlook Trail

KKL-JNF, in collaboration with the Israeli trail committee, have opened a new trail for foot travelers in the Jerusalem Mountains.
The walking trails make the forest accessible to the public and bring it closer to the variety of forest attractions: growth, landscape, archeology, blooming, wildlife and more.

The Hadassah Overlook trail starts next to the Ora Junction and continues down to Ein Sarig. It is 3 kilometers long and it is recommended for experienced travelers.

The trail, marked in black, passes through ancient terraces and the remains of lodges and provides stunning views of the Jerusalem Mountains – Ein Karem, Mevaseret Zion, Nebi Samuel, the Hadassah Hospital, Sataf and Eitan Mountain. Near the trail is a 10-meter high stone tower, called "Kapustin Tower", which is another attraction for travelers.

From the edge of the trail, travelers can continue on other marked trails to other sites of interest, including Ein Hendak, Sea'adim Ruins, the Kennedy Memorial and the Sataf.

Be sure to talk in marked sections only, and be mindful of the area and the weather. Keep our forests clean, and collect trash.

Have a nice trip!
