50 Years Since the Yom Kippur War: The KKL-JNF Archive Reveals Rare Photographs from the Battlefields

Tanks, rifles and soldiers in trenches: marking 50 years since the Yom Kippur War, the KKL-JNF archive reveals rare photographs from one of the major wars that Israel experienced.

The war broke out on October 6, 1973, with and attack of Arab countries led by Syria and Egypt on Israel, backed by reinforcement from other countries, especially from Iraq and Jordan, and continued until October 24, when a ceasefire was achieved.

Now, 50 years later, the KKL-JNF archive reveals rare photographs of the IDF soldiers from the war that will forever be remembered in Israeli history.
