The Books of Honor list groups and individuals who made important contributions to the Zionist project. The border police has been listed several times in the golden books for its collaboration with KKL-JNF in a wide range of national projects in the villages sectors and on the borders.
Elazar Hershkovitz, KKL-JNF’s Director of Special Contributor Projects and Books of Honor: "there's no better time than the Tu BiShvat holiday to celebrate the special connection between KKL-JNF and the border police. It is our moral duty to host in the hall of Book of Honor the men and women who guard Jerusalem and all of us, all the time. The visit demonstrated to the fighters why life in Israel should not be taken for granted, and why it is our duty to guard it. We wish the border police a happy anniversary, and wish the fighters a safe service."
Dr. Tal Misgav, Commander of Border Police's History and Research Unit: "The border police has been active for 70 years in keeping the Israeli citizens safe, in the border, in cities, in towns, in villages and in the frontiers. The border police takes part in the Zionist project, and collaborates with KKL-JNF since its establishment. The many dedications to the border police in KKL-JNF's Books of Honor testify to its contributions and activities."
