KKL-JNF and Ant Group Sign MOU for Joint Ecological Innovation

KKL-JNF (Israel) and Ant Group (China) to partner on scientific research into environmental conservation and sustainability solutions. The two organizations announced the new partnership in a Memorandum of Understanding, which they signed on Earth Day.

April 22, 2021 – Keren Kayemeth LeIsrael-Jewish National Fund (KKL-JNF), one of the world’s oldest green organizations, and Ant Group, an innovative technology firm and affiliate company of the Chinese retail giant Alibaba Group, announced a scientific and technological partnership to jointly develop innovative solutions for sustainable afforestation and environmental conservation, and to promote green development for social good.

Under the Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) signed by these two partners on Earth Day, a joint team of scientists and experts will be organized to conduct academic and applied research on environmental conservation solutions, such as making forest management sustainable, bolstering biodiversity, and protecting natural ecosystems.

Research results from the partnership will be applied to start Green Innovation Forest projects and encourage public participation in environmental protection.

The MOU was signed online and will be stored on AntChain, Ant Group’s blockchain-based technology solution.
