Birdathon photo competition winners

The photography competition that took place as part of KKL-JNF's 4th Annual Birdathon had 3 divisions: Hobbyists, Children & Youth, and Professional.
In recent years, more and more people have discovered the field of bird photography- one of photography's most challenging fields. Spectacularly beautiful birds are elusive, hidden and move at great speed; the greater the photography challenge, the greater the satisfaction in creating the winning photograph of a bird.

The KKL-JNF Birdathon photography competition has already made a name for itself as one of the most important nature photography competitions in Israel. As always, photographers were required to produce the winning photo of a bird within a pre-defined 48-hour time frame.

About 550 photographers, from all over the country, participated in the annual photography competition during which they photographed the country's wild birds over a period of 48 hours. About 800 amazing photos were submitted to the competition in the professional and hobbyist categories, and in a special category designed for children and youth.

The general public then voted online for their favorite photo in each category.
