Jared Kushner Planted an Olive Tree in a Ceremony Honoring him at the Grove of Nations

KKL–JNF hosted Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu and Senior Advisor to the President of the United States Jared Kushner in a tree planting and inauguration ceremony for the Kushner Peace Garden in Jerusalem’s Grove of Nations.

The ceremony, which included the planting of 18 trees in honor of Mr. Kushner, was held on the 21st of December 2020 to honor the true friendship he has exhibited towards the state of Israel and the many efforts he has made to promote the signing of normalization and peace agreements in the Middle East, while assuring Israel’s standing and welfare.

Chairman of the KKL–JNF Board of Directors Avraham Duvdevani expressed his appreciation of Kushner’s efforts and awarded him a certificate commemorating his registration in KKL–JNF’s Golden Book. Duvdevani even recited the “Planter’s Blessing” in Hebrew, which added a touching aspect to the entire ceremony.

KKL–JNF’s Grove of Nations is part of the Jerusalem Forest, at the foot of Yad VaShem. With the planting ceremony held in his honor, Jared Kushner joins a string of world leaders who have already planted olive trees in the grove to convey a message of peace, partnership, fraternity, life, and continuity.
