Hill 69 in the Hassa Forest

On Hill 69, the British built three towers that supplied water to its nearby military camps - hence also its nickname, "The Hill of the Three Towers.” A bloody battle was fought here for control of the hill in June 1948 during the War of Independence. The Egyptians won the battle and withdrew from the hill only in October of that year.

The recreation area on site has many picnic tables.
