The Hendler Observation Post

Hebrew name: Mitzpor Hendler

Location:
Near Kibbutz Kramim, close to Meitar

Description:
The Hendler Observation Post is a new KKL-JNF lookout point, whose construction was enabled thanks to the donation of Gary and Sharon Hendler, in memory of their parents Archie and Yetta. The observatory contains a rounded observation terrace, with a pergola roof and a young olive tree at its center, which was planted by the donor.
The lookout affords a beautiful view northwards towards the KKL-JNF Sansana Forest, at whose edge the new communal village of Sansana lies. Slightly eastwards from there, one can see the lower western areas of Mount Hebron, with the Palestinian settlement of Ramadin, which lies beyond the security fence. Looking southwards one can depict the town of Meitar near Beer Sheva and the Yatir Forest. During the migrating season, many storks frequent the area.

Directions: Turn towards Kibbutz Kramim from Road 60. Turn right before the Kibbutz gate on a dirt road, which is about 400m long.
