KKL-JNF:

  • harvests Negev floodwaters and reuses them for irrigation.
  • develops sewage treatment plants and builds reservoirs to store treated wastewater—an inexpensive water source for farming.
  • develops constructed wetlands which, in addition to purifying water, serve as parks and recreation areas.
  • creates lakes in desert parks, attracting flora, fauna and tourists.
  • develops drainage systems to prevent flooding.

KKL-JNF has developed close to 90 water management projects in the Negev!
