KKL-JNF is an integral part of daily life in Israel's Arava region, involved in everything from agricultural R&D and infrastructure works to environmental projects such as restoring the indigenous acacia trees to this region. In response to the huge oil leak that caused extensive damage to the Evrona Nature Reserve, KKL-JNF built an embankment that stopped the spread of the petroleum.
