KKL-JNF Southern Region has launched a special educational project in Kiryat Gat called Meaningful Zionism. Promoted by the KKL-JNF Education Division and related to the topic of Zionist education, the project is for the teenagers of Kiryat Gat, including youth movements, young group leaders and other volunteers, who attended meetings and activities related to topics such as Zionism, the establishment of the State of Israel and the Declaration of Independence, with professional KKL-JNF guides.

“The workshop participants took part in activities, dressed up as Herzl and Ben Gurion, sang songs and saw theatrical performances about the founding of the State of Israel,” said Ms. Hagit Ohana, the KKL-JNF Director of Education for the Southern Region, who remarked, “We chose to address everything that relates to the establishment of the State of Israel, because KKL-JNF views Zionist values as a fundamental part of education in Israel. The student participants enjoyed every minute and, in interesting ways, managed to learn a thing or two about the founding of the State of Israel and about Zionism.”
