KKL-JNF staff in the organization's southern region took part in repairing the damage wrought on security-agricultural roads in the Western Negev during Operation Protective Edge. The roads, which serve residents and military patrols, were repaired in cooperation with the Ministry of Defense and western Negev regional councils.

KKL-JNF's forests are open to the public 24/7, free of charge. In order to make them fully accessible, KKL-JNF develops recreation areas for day visitors and overnight campers throughout Israel, and has recently upgraded its sites in the Golan Heights.

After being hosted by the mayor of Ofakim, KKL-JNF France donated approximately NIS 1 million towards informal educational projects in Ofakim, and KKL-JNF Belgium donated an additional NIS 1 million for the benefit of the city’s public parks.
