KKL-JNF has issued a new stamp commemorating the 120th anniversary of the death of the Visionary of the State, Binyamin Theodor Herzl. This is the first time the production of a KKL-JNF stamp has used AI technology. This has been done in an effort to keep abreast of the growth and renewal KKL-JNF undertakes on a daily basis, showcasing the innovation and growth of the world of technology in Israel.
The stamp portrays Herzl against a background of Israeli landscapes - fields, trees, and reservoirs. Herzl’s gaze is that of a man observing the realization of his very own vision.
Since 1902, KKL-JNF has issued over 5,200 stamps showcasing various topics. Through its stamps KKL-JNF immortalizes the nation’s greats and commemorates outstanding moments in history. The KKL-JNF stamps have always served to promote the values of Zionism, heritage, nature and the environment.
Philatelists worldwide collect KKL-JNF stamps, some of which are also intended to be applied to school report cards.
KKL-JNF Chairwoman, Ifat Ovadia-Luski: “Herzl’s image is for me a representation of the values I uphold and which I aim to propagate in all of our varied activities as the Keren Kayemeth LeIsrael - Jewish National Fund. Dedicating this stamp to him is therefore a natural part of our progression. I am proud to support this innovative project. Just as the Visionary of the State has been given a new lease on life through technology, so do I work every day to bring renewal to every conceivable corner, to stimulate the flourishing of ever-more forests and and nature sites, which dot the entire State of Israel”.
