On Friday, October 28, the 2022 Climate Walk will take place in Tel Aviv, in an attempt to encourage the citizens and business to work to together ensure clean air, decrease polluting emissions, and decrease dependence on fossil fuels in order to fight the climate crisis and preserve our flora and fauna. KKL-JNF staff members will join the walk along with environmental organizations, youth groups, students and citizens.
One day before the walk, on October 27, KKL-JNF will hold cleaning activities in forests across the country, and early walks will be held in some of the forests. On the day of the walk, October 28, KKL-JNF will operate an information post which will include guidance by its education division and sign-making for the walk.
KKL-JNF chairman Avraham Duvdevani: "The climate crisis is a threat to the whole world. This is not a speculation or a distant nightmare but a reality taking shape right in front of our eyes every day. KKL-JNF makes extreme efforts, in both Israel and abroad, to fight the climate change and desertification using the newest technologies. This year we will again take part in the climate walk to increase awareness of the subject and encourage the Israeli public to take part in this important struggle."
