In celebration of Jerusalem Day on May 29th, KKL-JNF reveals rare photographs of the city from 1929 to 1969.

The photographs provide a look at the life in the city during these years, and they include documentation of the 23rd Zionist Congress from 1951, new immigrant children at the agricultural youth village Ein Karem (1950), the Zion Square in 1947, construction at the Kiryat Yovel neighbourhood in 1951, a gas station in 1969, the city walls in 1960 and more.

Efrat Sini, manager of the KKL-JNF's photo archive notes that "the Jerusalem Day is an opportunity to remember some of the city's old landscapes - the water distribution, the Ein Karem neighborhood, the construction of the international convention center, and much more. The KKL-JNF's photo archive holds many nostalgic views of the unified city from the early 20th century, and in celebration of the Jerusalem day and 120 years of KKL-JNF, we are glad to share them.
