JULY: Karmiel Dance Festival in Karmiel
The Karmiel Dance Festival, which is one of Israel's mid-summer highlights, is held every year in Karmiel. The festival features dance sessions and shows in theatres and public spaces in Karmiel with dance troupes from Israel and all around the world.
The Karmiel Dance Festival begins and ends at the giant Amphitheatre in Karmiel, which is located to the east of the city and can seat up to 25,000 people. The Amphitheatre was built thanks to the support of KKL-JNF and of JNF Canada, who donated to the project in the name of Hillel and Lavy Becker of Montreal Canada, who were honored at the JNF Montreal Negev Dinner. The Amphitheatre has become an integral part of Karmiel, and hosts the city's keynote annual events, including Yom Haatzmaut ceremonies, and cultural events.
