Nahal Assaf (Assaf Stream) Lookout

Description:
A lookout that is a station on the ANZAC Trail – a route built with the support of JNF Australia and JNF New Zealand, which retraces and memorializes the journey of the mounted cavalry of the Australian and New-Zealand Army Corps when they conquered Beer Sheva for the British during World War I (1917). The observatory oversees Tel Gamma and the desert forest planted by KKL-JNF in the surrounding channels. In the stream, KKL-JNF demonstrates planting methods and technologies designated to prevent land erosion. The lookout is accessible to people with physical limitations, and has a nearby parking lot and recreation area. Explanatory signage is provided on-site.

Directions: Via road 232, about 50 meters south of Gamma Junction.
