  • Yom Hazikaron - Israel's Memorial Day

    Every year, KKL-JNF prepares forests for absorbing the many people who come to observe Memorial Day at memorial sites for the fallen and meeting areas that are scattered throughout the forests and were developed by KKL-JNF. This year, Israel will remember and honor the tens of thousands of slain soldiers and victims of terror on Tuesday evening, 13th April, 2021 (1 Iyar, 5781).

Salute to Israel's 73rd Birthday

Join KKL-JNF and the International March of the Living as we celebrate Israel’s 73rd birthday in a grand global celebration!

The program will feature:

  • Intimate conversations with Holocaust survivors and their contributions to the State of Israel.
  • Greetings from March of the Living alumni from over 25 countries around the world.

  • Songs and celebrations with the National Israel Army (IDF) Choir, featuring Chief Cantor Shai Abramson.

    From the time of its inception in 1901, KKL-JNF played a pivotal role in the establishment of the State of Israel. The lands that KKL-JNF bought on behalf of the Jewish people formed the contours for what would be the State of Israel. KKL-JNF continues to develop, build and nurture the land today.

    The theme of this year's Independence Day is 'Kinship and Unity, For we are brothers'. Since last Independence Day, the population of Israel increased by 1.5%. At this time, 46% of the world's Jews live in Israel.

KKL-JNF's 73rd Yom Haatzmaut Emblem

Each year, KKL-JNF's Youth and Education Department creates a special emblem in honor of Yom Haatzmaut.

The emblem to your left was designed by KKL-JNF for Israel's 73rd birthday.

This year the emblem reflects the national theme of Kinship and Unity:"Kinship and Unity, 'For we are brothers'"(Genesis 13:8)
