The Burma Road is a single lane for cars that was broken through the mountains in the War of Independence during the battles for besieged Jerusalem. For those arriving from the Harel Scenic Lookout (Route 44 between Nachshon Junction and the Shimshon Interchange), drive along the red-marked road to the Harel Scenic Lookout. There is a recreation area there with barbecue facilities. You can continue driving all along the Burma Road, enjoy the Susin Springs recreation area and later reach HaTe’einim Ascent. Along the way there are recreation areas with magical little spots and barbecue facilities.
