COP23 in Bonn, Germany - November 6-17, 2017

This year, the United Nations Framework Convention on Climate Change (UNFCCC) will hold is bienale Conference of Parties (COP 23) in Bonn, Germany between 6-17.11.2017.
KKL-JNF will form part of the Israeli delegation. As Israel's largest and oldest green organization that works hand in hand with the Israeli government, KKL-JNF shares its expertise in dryland afforestation and combatting desertification with other countries and international organizations in need.
At COP23, KKL-JNF will:
1) Host a side event on November 16th, together with the Israeli Ministry of Environmental Protection and reepresentatives from the Governor's office in California. The panel will be mediated by a renowned environmental expert from UCLA.
2) Run an exhibition booth from November 12-17, in order to disseminate the activities of
KKL-JNF in order mitigating and adapting to climate change. KKL-JNF will present its cutting edge knowledge regarding dryland afforestation, lessons learned from past experience and the techniques KKL-JNF uses in arid and semi-arid conditions. Moreover, KKL-JNF will showcase its knowledge of Integrated Biological Pest Management, its experience with the introduction of natural enemies for pests, and tree improvement programs for pest and drought resistant species.
The booth will also serve as an opportunity for networking and international cooperation by offering KKL-JNF's knowledge and knowhow to developing countries.
